Announcement: Youth Agriculture Program


Dear RSCM Community and St Matthews Baptist Church Family and Friends,


We are excited to launch our Youth Agriculture Program as part of the Rapides Station Community Ministries Farming Initiative, a hands-on initiative to equip our young people with valuable farming skills, sustainability knowledge, and a deeper appreciation for God’s creation!

Through this program, our youth and young adults will learn:


🥦   Health & Nutrition – Understanding the importance of fresh, healthy food, meal planning, and food security.

🌱 Sustainable Agriculture – Caring for God’s Earth Through Sustainable Farming
🌟 Community Service & Outreach  - Giving Back to the Community.       

🐄 Leadership & Life Skills - Responsibility & Teamwork in Agriculture  💰 Agribusiness & Marketing – Turning Farming into a Business, budgeting, and marketing strategies.
🚜 Agricultural Technology & Innovation  – modern farming techniques, hydroponics, and smart irrigation.                 

🌿 Crop Production – Soil preparation, planting techniques, pest control, and irrigation.
🐄 Animal Husbandry – Caring for livestock, feeding, disease prevention, and ethical animal management.

Start Date: April 1, 2025; Each Tuesday after for 12 weeks
Location: Rapides Station Community Ministries 1429 3rd St Alexandria, La 71301
⏰ Time: 6:00pm-7:30pm


This exciting opportunity is open to all   youth, just eager to learn about farm animals and growing fresh foods.


Together, we will grow in knowledge, faith, and service to our community!
